Gaby may be pint sized, but she is one reason why people shouldn't judge a book by its cover.
Hardened by her both her father's abandonment, and by her upbringing in East Germany, Gaby has a low tolerance for any kind of nonsense or bullshit. There's little interest in her when it comes to men's advances, and it's clear that romance is the last thing on her mind when it comes to surviving behind the Iron Curtain. Gaby barely batted an eyelash when Napoleon appeared in her life when the other women that crossed his path seemed starstruck by his appearance. It takes a lot more than a pretty face to make her distracted. That being said, she's not above using her appearance and slight body to her advantage, but she's no fool when it comes to her physical capabilities. Her brain and street smarts are her asset in tricky situations and help keep her level headed - a useful asset considering what she's dealing with.
For someone who was literally thrown into the world of espionage, Gaby can seem like a seasoned pro at times. When she and Napoleon are being chased by Illya, Gaby manages to stay oddly calm at the wheel, following Napolean's directions to avoid being caught. Although she had been forewarned that she was most likely going to be mugged, Gaby is the one that has to keep Illya in line when his watch is taken (granted not voluntarily by any means). Her level headedness and ability to compartmentalize her fears is further demonstrated when she's meeting with her Uncle Rudi and Alexander Vinciguerra, and when she walked into the Vinciguerra compound without any sort of back up.
Defiance is another key trait of Gaby's. There's resistance to her actions, especially when it comes to something that she doesn't want to do. She'll grapple to have any semblance of control on her terms in a situation, and it's clear that she doesn't like being told what to do. Her bull headedness can get her into trouble at the worst of times. That being said, she can read situations fairly well meaning she can give up control when she's clearly at a disadvantage.
Abilities/Skills:
Gaby is an ordinary human being - nothing fancy or supernatural about her. That being said, she's a qualified mechanic and knows her way around a car like the best of them. As was proven in the film, Gaby's also pretty handy behind the wheel too. Need a getaway driver? She's your girl. Gaby can also speak German and English fluently, and is currently learning to speak Russian.
As a fun little side note, Gaby trained at the Berlin Ballet School. Not only that however, Gaby managed to score the 1st soloist position before she presumably left.
Strengths/Weaknesses:
Mechanics: Gaby's biggest asset is probably knowing her way around an engine. Granted, most things aboard the Moria are more advanced than what she's used to, but she's a quick leaner and would be eager to learn its workings.
Slight stature: While not necessarily a weakness, if Gaby were in some kind of fight, she would be at a disadvantage against someone who has more experience than her when it comes to combat even if she does have some fancy footwork up her sleeve.
